9/5/2023 - induction follow up - REMISSION

Dear Jesus, THANK YOU. Thank You, God, for Your Mercy, thank You, God, for your Grace! You are so good in every way.

Today we had Amora’s general clinic appointment. We were planning to just get some ongoing questions answered and some feedback regarding next tuesdays IR appointment… we weren’t expecting any results this soon.

Today our oncologist walked in with Amora’s pathology results. It showed zero measurable leukemia cells. This is God’s work. God’s Mercy. I am so so thankful.

Amora is now considered to be in Remission 🥺

I’m so emotional, my baby girl, so strong and resilient. She makes me so proud!

While luekemia cells are not measurable, that does not mean there aren’t any lingering cells. So the road to end of treatment is just beginning.

The next phase of treatment is called consolidation phase, where she will go in once a week 3 times for spinal taps (chemo administration thru spinal fluid). She will get one dose of vincristine on Tuesday (for this month) and they will send her home with additional oral chemo medications.

Tuesday she will go in to have her new port placed. She will get her first spinal tap and her dose of Vincristine.

Man what a ride this has been. This would have been a lot harder had we not had God by our side and everyone’s gracious prayers. I’m so proud of my baby girl. She is so amazing. I want to be just like her when I grow up.💛

Strong like Amora.
