Tomorrow, Amora goes to clinic to begin her next 12 week cycle of long term maintenance. Cycle 2 of 7.
Every day in maintenance Amora takes her daily and weekly Oral chemo medications. She takes medications for constipation mitigation, and Zofran for nausea. She takes prophylactics every Saturday and Sunday. And she can tell you the name of each medication, what it’s for, and if it tastes good or bad.
At the beginning of each cycle, Amora gets administered vincristine (a chemo drug through her port, which she has seen many times), IT methotrexate (a chemo medication that is administered in her spinal fluid via a spinal tap) and she will begin a steroid pulse (14 doses for 7 days. Not fun). Spinal taps are my least favorite days… for the obvious reason. She is wheeled back into a procedure room and put under anesthesia. It never gets easier.
I’m coming on here to ask for prayers for a successful procedure. Please pray with me for Gods presence and comfort tomorrow. We pray for good results and a happy girl. Lord thank you for guiding us on this journey, and thank you every day for this beautiful baby girl. amen.
I love you sweet girl.
