Just a little update:
We’ve been home since Friday and have been enjoying every second of it. Good news! We finished our last dose of the steroids this morning and are praying that her little swollen body goes back to normal. She hasn’t been able to walk these past few days but we are praying in the next week she will regain her strength and balance to be able to walk again. “I will always show you where to go. I'll give you a full life in the emptiest of places - firm muscles, strong bones. You'll be like a well-watered garden, a gurgling spring that never runs dry.” -Isaiah 58:11.
She has been a hoot though, I’ll tell ya. She wants her food and she wants it now! She likes her McDonalds cheeseburger with meat and cheese only AND she wants her chicken nuggets and ketchup. No French fries though. She’s demands chef Boyardee, ravioli speghettios, and has single handedly taken down about 3 gallons of choco milk since we’ve been home. She doesn’t want dad to look at her, or talk to her but it’s just the roid rage. “Dada was talking to me again” she says. Pretty funny. She can only poop on the downstairs toilet and because she can’t walk, we are carrying her up and down the stairs… many many times a day. Her hair has started falling out but she’s still as beautiful as ever.
We have our next appointment on Friday where she will go under anesthesia, to have her bone marrow biopsy and spinal tap with chemo administered. This will mark the end of her induction phase where we wait for results. We wait for Good results!! God is all knowing and I trust Him! We will have Good results!! No leukemia cells! I pray to You Lord Almighty that she has no leukemia cells in her bones or blood! In Jesus name!
What a journey. #AmoraStrong #SISSYSTRONG
